Are you a sourcing agent or a supplier?
A supplier. We buy the goods in China on our own account and sell them to you under a supply contract, which means the responsibility for quality, quantity and documents sits with us rather than with a factory you have never met. We can also work on an agency basis when you already have a supplier and only need control and logistics in China.
Who acts as the importer of record in the EU?
Either party, and we agree it before anything ships. Our Latvian company SIA DEXTRO holds a valid EU VAT number and EORI, so it can clear the goods and sell to you inside the EU. Alternatively you import on your own EORI and we handle everything on the China side. The two structures have different VAT and liability consequences, so it is worth deciding early.
Can you act as our EU responsible person under GPSR?
Yes. Regulation (EU) 2023/988 has applied since 13 December 2024 and requires every consumer product placed on the EU market to have a responsible person established in the Union. When we import, that role is ours by default. We can also take it on for goods you import yourself, provided the technical documentation exists and we have reviewed it.
Do you actually have people in China?
Yes — our own warehouses and staff in Guangzhou and Yiwu, plus a Chinese company, Hainan Silent International Trade Co., Ltd, registered in Sanya and verifiable in the Chinese state register by its USCC. This is the difference that matters: a batch can be opened, checked, re-packed, re-labelled or rejected while it is still in China and the factory still has to answer for it.
What is your minimum order?
There is no published minimum. What matters is whether the project makes sense for both sides, and that depends on the product, not on a number in a price list. Describe what you need and we will say plainly whether we are the right partner for it.
How long does a shipment take?
We quote lead times per shipment and put them in the contract, rather than publishing a number. Real transit depends on production queues at the factory, consolidation, the mode of transport, customs clearance and the final leg. The spread between a good run and a bad one on the same route is weeks, and pretending otherwise is how schedules get broken.
Do you audit factories?
Yes. Every supplier is first checked against the Chinese state register by its USCC, and for larger or regulated projects we visit: production capability, working conditions, and whether the certificates on the wall actually belong to that company. An audit report with photographs is delivered before you commit to production.
Can you negotiate prices for us?
That is a large part of the value. We negotiate in Chinese, on the Chinese market, against comparable quotes from several manufacturers for the same written specification. A foreign buyer asking in English almost always sees a different opening price than a local buyer asking in Mandarin.
Can you source a custom product?
Yes — either an existing platform adapted to your specification, or development from a brief. We will tell you honestly which of the two your idea actually needs, because changing a mould costs a great deal more than changing a colour.
Do you provide OEM and ODM?
Both. OEM is your design manufactured to your specification; ODM is an existing design adapted and branded for you. We handle factory selection, samples with your branding, a pilot run and then series production with consistency checks between batches.
Can you sign an NDA?
Yes, and we recommend it before technical drawings or formulations change hands. We also raise the points that a plain NDA does not cover: who owns the tooling you pay for, and whether the factory may sell your design to anyone else.
Can you inspect during production, not only before shipment?
Yes. During-production inspection catches a systemic fault while there is still time to correct it, rather than at the end when the only options are rework or rejection. For a first run with a new factory we usually recommend it.
Can you consolidate cargo from several suppliers?
Yes, and it is one of the more useful things we do. Goods from different factories come into our warehouse in Guangzhou or Yiwu, are checked, then ship as one consignment — one set of documents, one customs entry, and often a full container instead of several part loads.
Can you deliver DDP?
Yes, where it makes sense. Under DDP we clear the goods into the EU on our own EORI, pay duty and import VAT, and deliver to your address — you receive a domestic purchase from an EU company. Whether DDP or DAP is better for you depends on your VAT position, and we will say which we think fits.
Can you provide certificates and test reports?
We check what your product category requires before the order is placed, and obtain the manufacturer's documentation — declarations of conformity, test reports, certificates of origin. Where accredited laboratory testing is needed we arrange it rather than pretend an inspection replaces it.
Can you handle customs?
Yes, at both ends. Export clearance in China is ours in every case. At the EU end you choose: we clear the goods on our own EORI as importer of record, or you clear on yours and we supply the documentation you need.
