Privacy notice

Short version: we only collect what you type into the enquiry form, we use it to answer you, we do not sell it to anyone, and you can ask us to delete it at any time. The detail is below.

Who is responsible for your data

For visitors in the European Union, the data controller is SIA DEXTRO, registration number 44103144015, VAT LV44103144015, registered at Jasmīnu 10-5, Jūrmala, LV-2010, Latvia. You can reach us about anything on this page at info@silentium-trade.com.

Where an enquiry concerns purchasing or inspection work carried out in China, the information you send may also be handled by our Chinese company, Hainan Silent International Trade Co., Ltd (USCC 91460204MADNWQ6808). This is a transfer outside the European Economic Area and we describe it openly below rather than bury it.

What we collect

From the enquiry form: the name you give, the contact detail you give (email, phone or messenger handle), the message you write, the page you sent it from and the time you sent it. Nothing else — there are no hidden fields.

From analytics: standard website usage data collected by Google Analytics — pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is used in aggregate to understand which pages are useful.

Why, and on what basis

We process enquiry data to answer your enquiry and, if it leads anywhere, to prepare and perform a contract with you. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract — and, for keeping a record of business correspondence, our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f).

Analytics data is processed on the basis of legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used. If you would rather not be measured at all, browser-level tracking protection or an ad blocker will stop it, and nothing on this site will stop working.

Who else sees it

Enquiries submitted through the form are delivered to us as a message through Telegram, which therefore processes the content of your enquiry in transit. We use Google Analytics as a measurement provider. We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not pass it to anyone who is not working on your enquiry.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship are kept for up to twelve months and then deleted. Where a contract is concluded, records are kept for as long as required by accounting and tax law in the relevant jurisdiction. Analytics data is retained according to Google’s standard retention settings.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and ask for your data in a portable format. Write to info@silentium-trade.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in our case the Data State Inspectorate of Latvia (Datu valsts inspekcija), or the authority in the EU country where you live.

Cookies

This site sets the cookies required for Google Analytics to function. It does not use advertising cookies and does not build profiles for marketing. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Changes

If this notice changes materially, the updated version will be published on this page. This version is dated 2 August 2026.

One practical notePlease do not send bank details, passwords or copies of identity documents through the enquiry form. We never ask for payment details by message, and any message claiming that our bank has changed should be verified by calling us on a number you already have.
